This option is only enabled if the default Carry Over Cash in Parameters is set to a number greater than zero. When you select this option, the close for the day procedure will start with no interaction necessary from you. The default Carry Over Cash will automatically roll over to next day beginning drawer balance. Any bank deposits will manually have to be created.
When you have a multiple stores and store 1 is set to autoclose, you have two options.
Option 1 – The other stores can be set to auto close, in which case they will close immediately after store 1.
Options 2 – If the other stores are not set to auto close, they can be closed through the End of Day process. If they have not been closed by 11pm, Point of Rental will automatically close them to prevent problems the next day.
You can schedule an Auto Close to close at a certain time each night. See Schedule Auto Close under Program Menu > Configuration > System Configurations > Configure Task Runner.
Note: The following reports will not print out at the end of the day, When the drawer is set to autoclose. (GL Entries, Total Summary) you will have to manually run the reports. If you manually select the autoclose button, then only the Total Summary Report will not print out.
