Each year, a new version of Point of Rental Expert and Elite products is released. When a release is ready for distribution you will be notified via email about the release. Follow the instructions below to update your software to the newest release.
1. Download the update: (you can continue to use the system during this step)
a. Program Menu -> Configurations -> Other Updates -> Check for Updates
b. Minimize the update window and let the update file download (depending on your internet speed, this could take from 10-60 minutes).
2. Install the Update: (everyone must exit the program)
a. Program Menu -> Configurations -> Other Updates -> Install xxxx Update (xxxx will be the new version)
b. If you do not see Install xxxx Update and instead see Latest Version Installed then no update is available.
c. Follow the on-screen instructions (this could take from 10-20 minutes depending on database size)
3. Release notes can be accessed in NetHelp.
