(Debit Card ONLY- Credit Cards that do not have the funds available are declined).
Simply stated - if they process a card and receive a message stating a partial payment was collected: click ok and proceed to collect the remaining amount due from the customer by another form of payment.
CAYAN Partial Captures
a. CAYAN has functionality that captures a partial payment from a debit card when the desired transaction payment amount exceeds the funds availability on the debit card. Cayan will capture the partial payment rather than declining the transaction all together. For example, if a debit card sale is being processed for $100 but the customer’s debit card only has $50 available, the $50 is captured automatically.
b. PofR will pop up a message window requiring you to acknowledge the partial payment before continuing. (as seen below
c. PofR will then adjust the paid amount on the contract.
d. The merchant will then need to collect the remaining balance from the customer.
