Overview: Custom Reports (Program Menu #11) is a place where Point-of-Rental Staff can put Crystal Reports that have not yet been implemented in the program or any Custom Crystal Report created specifically for you or by you. Previously this was only the Report Generator which functions in the same manner.
This is the view of Custom Reports:
You would select the report you want to see. Then select View. If there are any parameters that need to be selected you will see a screen labeled “Enter Parameter Values”. From the list of parameters, select the parameter and then choose the value you want to use. The report will display on your screen in the same way all Point-of-Rental reports display.
This is a great way to give your employees’ access to custom Crystal Reports without having to worry about them damaging the report in the Crystal program. Simply save any of your own custom reports to c:\por\reportscustom and they will display in the Custom Reports Section.
You may also use Report Generator at the bottom to create your own, text only and print only, reports through the program. Note: Report Generator is NOT Crystal Reports and has it's own method for saving user generated reports
